Come and join us at Tastes On The Fly, we are looking for a Prep Cook to contribute in the preparation and plating of all menu items in accordance with the chefs’ direction.
The prep cook position is responsible for the bulk of the prep that is performed in the back kitchen in accordance with the supervisors’ direction. This position is also responsible for preparing certain cold items when ordered including salads and desserts. This position includes, but is not limited to, the ability to read, understand and follow recipes, proper preparation of all assigned tasks, and ability to conform to the supervisors’ immediate directions.

Requirements
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
These are essential functions and the percentages are estimates only.
45% – Preparation and plating of “cold line” items as ordered
35% – Preparation of base food items
15% – Cleaning the kitchen on a consistent basis
OTHER:
Maintain regular and prompt attendance in conformation with company standards and policies. Employees with irregular attendance may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Consistent time and attendance is essential to the successful operation of the department.
Maintain a professional demeanor with co-workers and guests at all times. Maintain a professional and hygienic appearance at all times. Report to work in a clean and complete uniform.
Due to the seasonal nature of the restaurant industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to accommodate the business needs of the restaurant

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to performing the essential functions, this position may be required to perform any combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function solely at the discretion of the department manager, which may be based upon the particular requirements of that day.
Removal of trash, recycling, debris etc
Deep cleaning projects
Dishwasher duties
Perform any and all other duties asked of you related to the operation of the restaurant
QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, training and work experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Successfully pass an extensive 10 year criminal background check conducted by the FBI.
Successfully pass computerized employment testing and in-person interview
EXPERIENCE:
Prior restaurant or food preparation experience and/or education

We seek a hands on team player with a minimum of three years Human Resources and Recruiting experience in a fast pace, high volume organization. Requirements
The Human Resources Manager reports to the Senior Director of Human Resources and is also accountable to the Director of Payroll & Benefits for the following areas and duties, including but not limited to:
Support companywide recruiting efforts.
· Assist with employee relations issues.
·Provide support to restaurant management in the areas of compliance, staffing and people management.
·Prepare team member correspondence including, offer letters and employment verifications.
·Oversee all aspects of onboarding and offboarding, including managing the badging process and security protocols.
Manage full cycle payroll for Vancouver locations.
Maintain solid understanding of federal, provincial and local employment laws and ensure company practices are compliant.
Perform monthly compliance walk through to include safety / sanitation, personnel files, adherence to training program, postings, etc.
Maintain accurate and thorough materials, including training guides, new hire packets, menus etc.)
Manage credential tracking – food safety, harassment, TIPS, etc.
Maintain the Trakstar database for the company’s performance management system.
Maintain ongoing compliance with required programs – i.e. commuter benefits.
Perform one on one orientations and assist with group orientations as needed.
Provide administrative reports to all aspects of Training and HR department.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
·At least 3 years of HR generalist experience.
·At least one year of recruiting experience.
·Detail-oriented, highly organized.
·Sensitive to confidential information and ability to keep personnel issues and information confidential.
·Ability to be objective and fair.
·Must be able to work independently and exercise independent, mature judgment.
.Must maintain badging eligibility.
Able to pass a 10-year criminal background check.
Follow all requirements of airport security at all times.
